Since laying the foundation stone for its bus building facility at its humongous Chakan Manufacturing Plant near Pune, Mercedes-Benz has been conducting trial runs of its city buses both within the state of Maharashtra and down South, well Karnataka to be precise. The new buses will run on the C.B.D to Bandra Railway Station route.Mercedes will offer its buses to Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport (N.M.M.T) for a trial period of one month to check technical stability and viability of the buses on city road conditions.Though there has been no official word from them on when their luxurious and semi-luxurious buses will be fully operational and doing their regular rounds.
